TESTIMONIALS
I have worked as a doctor for 37 years. After graduating from Riga Medical Institute, I worked as a therapist both in the hospital and in an outpatient setting. Meanwhile I also completed homeopathy courses, because while working in practice, I realized that often more knowledge about human health in general is needed. For the last 10 years I have been a certified doctor in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
I am convinced that the medicine of the future is based on the combined use of academic and non-traditional medicine – the so-called complementary medicine. For this reason, I used the opportunity
to start studies in 2015 in the basic course of Ayurveda organized by the University of Latvia. After a theoretical and practical course, I spent a month in India, in the state of Kerala, continuing both theoretical and practical knowledge. Thanks to this experience, I can both better understand the patient and help him. In 2018, I obtained a certificate in the application of Ayurvedic methods.
University of Latvia and Arya Vaidya pharmacy Coimbatore is offering a great foundational course for Ayurveda. The course work taught me how to apply Ayurvedic principles in my daily life and also Classical Ayurveda. For anyone who would like to learn Authentic Ayurveda from a recognised and pioneer institution in the field of Ayurveda, this course is an excellent choice.
The lessons conducted in Latvia and Clinical lessons in India were excellent in standards. Thanks to University of Latvia and Arya Vaidya pharmacy for making such a possibility.
dr. Dace Vanaga-Mikane
I took part in a basic course of Ayurveda at University of Latvia, Complementary medicine center in 2006. We had great lectures and some well organized practicals provided by the experienced doctors and nice lecturers devoted to their mission.
I think the course was a nice opportunity to learn about how Ayurveda can help in each person’s unique health situation. I appreciated especially the topics related to a basic knowledge and holistic approach of Ayurveda using the lifestyle tools which include dietary modifications, daily routine adjustments, contemplative practices, also a background on customized herbal formulas and body therapies used to address local physical conditions. That knowledge helped me to understand how to create a holistic approach to my personal health and what should I learn in future to help others to support them through their healing process.
That course was a nice journey not only for getting new skills and knowledge but also to get to learn about Ayurveda as teaching of compassion and understanding of your patient.
LU associate professor, Dr Biol. Tatjana Tracevska,
